This is so freaking great!
I almost screamed... well, I did! :P when Ivan told me -in a really casual way- what he was planning to do for the 1st of January. We were in a shopping mall and my sister was trying some clothes for the Christmas dinner.
At the first moment, I thought he was kidding...
I met Ivancho like 6 years ago. Both of us were part of AIESEC and then we were colleagues working for the national team for one year. We became a really close friends with the passing days, especially when he started to hang out with my sister and he was sharing his adventures to see her in any part of the world. Ivancho has been my colleague, my mentor, my boss, my friend and now my family :)
That's the reason why I knew he was really serious when he got blush and just smiled!
-OMG! are you serious??? OMG OMG!!
I almost cried.
But,
how come did I know it first than his fiancee? :P
Well, the situation was that Ivan invited my family to his family's house in Paipa, Boyaca, (his hometown in Colombia) for a BBQ on the 1st of January. (In Colombia is traditional to have a BBQ with your family and friends the 1st day of the year to welcome the new year eating, drinking and partying, as a good luck!) :) He was planning to propose during the BBQ in front of all the families there.
However, unfortunately the only date when I could return to Belgium, -in order to be back at work on next Monday-, was the freakie 1st of January! Ivancho was insisting me to move my flight in order to go to the BBQ. His last argument was the BIG NEWS!
I did try everything but I couldn't move my flight tough. I was in Cali waiting my connection to Madrid when my Mom and my sister call me to share me the news. I cried of happiness :)
I am pretty sure that my sister is very happy, I can feel it.
At this moment, I can say that the "twin's stuff" of shared feelings is true. I can feel how happy she is to be engaged. I can see it as well.
We are already thinking in small details for the wedding. How she sees the ceremony, the dress, the food, the place, the photos, the guests lists... the expenses of the weeding!!, which is a big project by the way.
and... I will be in Colombia this year again!!

That true love exists and make you crazy to be with THAT person. awwwww :)
